Please note: The Indian government has capped the subsidy for homeowners at a maximum of Rs. 78,000. This means that any system that’s 3 kW or higher gets a fixed relaxation of Rs. 78,000.
Here are the state subsidy details for UP homeowners:

State subsidy for 1-2 kW solar systems: Rs. 15,000/ kW

Total subsidy for the resident of U.P. is (State + Central Subsidy = Total subsidy) ₹ 45,000 for 1 KW , ₹ 90,000 for 2 KW solar plant and for 3 KW or more capacity, a fixed amount of ₹ 1,08,000 is provided
Consumer Registration Process
Step 01
Visit the website athttps://pmsuryaghar.gov.in/
Step 02
Go to consumer page and select “Apply Now” (or) Open the Login dropdown menu and select “Consumer Login”.
Step 03
Enter valid Registered Consumer Mobile Number for Registration, Enter valid Captcha and Select “Yes, I have read all the guidelines of PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.”, then Click on “Verify”
Step 04
Enter valid Mobile OTP received through SMS and then click on “Login”.
Step 05
After successful Login, then Enter Profile details of Registration Consumer by entering valid Consumer Name, E-Mail, Address, State, District and PIN Code and then click on “Save”.
Step 06
Registered consumer can submit applications either through click on “Apply for Solar Rooftop” (or) through Vendor Selection. Consumer can apply for Solar Rooftop by selecting State, District and Electricity Distribution Company/ Utility and enter Consumer account number, then click on “Fetch Details”. After loading the Consumer details, then click on “Next” to start filling for submission of application.·
